Roguelist is a user-driven review platform for looking up companies and individuals before deciding to work with them. Employers, contractors, landlords, freelancers, businesses — anyone who takes money or trust from someone else can be reviewed here.
Our mission is simple: give people a place to research reputations, share their experience, and flag bad business practices, scams, or poor treatment before someone else gets burned.
Our vision
A public record of who's worth working with.
Reputation used to travel by word of mouth — you asked a friend, a neighbour, a tradesperson you trusted. That worked when your world was small. It doesn’t scale to the way people hire, rent, and do business today.
Roguelist exists to bring that word-of-mouth signal online, and to make it fair. An open, independent record where the person on the other end of the invoice, the lease, or the job offer can be looked up — and where they can respond to what’s said about them.
We believe reputation isn’t a private asset. It’s earned in public, from real interactions, and it should be visible to the next person about to hand over their time, money, or trust.

What we do
We help people make one decision better: who to trust.
Anyone can leave a review on Roguelist, as long as it’s based on a genuine first-hand experience. Those reviews help the next person searching that name make an informed call — before they sign, pay, or start the job.
For the people and companies being reviewed, Roguelist is a chance to build a track record in public. Respond to feedback, resolve issues, and let a body of honest reviews speak for you.
We take a layered approach to keeping the platform honest — community reporting, human moderation, and technical checks against fake or coordinated reviews. If something slips through, we want to hear about it.

Been burned, or genuinely well-served? Write it down. A 1–5 star rating plus a written account, ideally backed by evidence.

See something dishonest? Flag it. Our moderators review reports and act on abuse, threats, or unverifiable defamatory claims.

Transparency by default
Every review — positive or negative — is public and searchable. Reputations are built over time, in the open. No paywalls, no hidden scores.
Balanced, not neutral
We don’t hide negative reviews to protect anyone. We do give the reviewed party a right of reply and require honest sourcing so both sides are heard.
User-driven
The platform is built on first-hand accounts from people who did the work, hired the contractor, or rented the unit. No sponsored reviews, ever.
Moderated, not silent
We remove abuse, spam, and unverifiable defamatory claims — not criticism. Flagged reviews go back into moderation with a human on the other end.
Positively human
Behind every listing is a real person or business. We hold the bar high for honesty and fairness, and we assume good faith until proven otherwise.
We move on evidence
Screenshots, receipts, contracts, photos — evidence is encouraged and weighted. Anecdotes are welcome; proof carries further.
